Conservatory Director Featured on NPR, Debuts New Composition

Barthelmes Conservatory Director/composer Dr. Noam Faingold and Signature Symphony Conductor and Artistic Director (and Assistant Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony) Andrés Franco were recently guests on Studio Tulsa with Rich Fisher, on Public Radio Tulsa, our NPR affiliate. Listen to the interview here: http://publicradiotulsa.org/post/be-presented-weekend-signature-symphony-tcc-yevtushenko-and-shostakovich.

Signature Symphony hosted an open rehearsal on pieces by Shostakovich, Glazunov, Borodin, and Dr. Faingold’s new piece, The Defiant Poet: Elegy in Memory of Yevgeny Yevtushenko, which received its world premiere at Signature Symphony’s Yevtushenko memorial concert this past Saturday! Bravo, Dr. Faingold! Signature Symphony also includes several Barthelmes Conservatory faculty, including Terry Pollak, Ashley Hinden and Robin Smith. We’re so fortunate to have many talented musicians teaching a new generation of musicians here at The bART!
