Susannah Brooks, Voice

Susannah Brooks, VoiceNative Tulsan, Susannah (Oakley) Brooks received her formative training while attending Jenks High School.  She obtained her Bachelor of Music from the University of Oklahoma and pursued her graduate training at The New England Conservatory in Boston with a Masters in vocal performance.  Susannah placed first in the NATS Tri-State Competition and received the Benton-Schmidt and Cary Brice scholarship.

Ms. Brooks has performed with the New England Conservatory in Boston, Bay Area Summer Opera Theater in San Francisco, University of Oklahoma Opera Theater, Sound of America European Tour, Cimarron Circuit Opera Company and Theater Tulsa. Susannah is currently a featured soloist for Signature Symphony and Signature Chorale, and is a soloist with the First United Methodist Church Cathedral Choir.  Her past performances also include the title role in Handel’s Semele Marenka in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride, Casilda in G&S The Gondoliers.  She has also had the honor of singing in Master classes with Mignon Dunn, Gary Arvin, Patrica Wise and Thomas Grubb.

Ms. Brooks is dedicated to teaching voice, being wife to Steve and being mommy to her two adorable sons ages four and six.
