Anna Ignatenkova, Music Theory and Piano

Anna Ignatenkova has absorbed Russian Music Method since she was six years old. After seven years in Music School, Anna spent four years in Music College (the Academic Music College, at which she earned a degree in Musical Education, Music History, Analysis, Theory and Piano). Anna has taught private and school students, directed a choir in church, led seminars, arranged and accompanied – and continued to learn music and directing in Petrozavodsk State Conservatory and in Smolensk State Institute of Arts.


As soon as Anna’s family moved to the United States, she studied the American Music System, and now has more than 20 years of experience in teaching music to students from age four to 64. Anna is currently finishing a degree at ORU, and has taught at The bART for more than five years as a theory and piano teacher, and as a parent of four music students at The bART Center for Music. Anna says “I’m always glad to see new and familiar faces there – especially in my lessons!”
