William “Donny” Crider, Cello
Donny began his musical training at the age of eleven in his hometown near Austin, Texas. In Austin and its surrounding cities, Donny excelled as a cellist and performer, playing with both amateur and professional ensembles, including the Austin Youth Orchestra, with whom he made several guest appearances for the Austin Symphony Orchestra at their annual holiday concerts.
Donny continued his training at the University of North Texas, studying cello performance. While studying in North Texas, Donny held positions with both the Irving Symphony Orchestra and the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Hector Guzman.
Donny earned his Bachelor’s of Music in Performance in the Spring of 2014; he recently completed a two-year fellowship with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra through Oklahoma State University, earning his Master’s of Music in Spring of 2016. Donny currently resides in Stillwater, and enjoys teaching and performing positions throughout Tulsa and Payne County.
