Allyson Taylor is a passionate advocate for the arts in education. Ms. Taylor avidly participated in piano, voice, and art throughout her early childhood, and studied dance with Moscelyne Larkin and Roman Jasinski at Tulsa School of Ballet until the age of 18. After graduating from The University of Oklahoma with her BFA in Printmaking, Ms. Taylor lived in New York City where she danced with Annie B Parson’s Big Dance Theatre before moving to southern Spain (Andalucia) where she studied Flamenco extensively while working on several restorative painting and architectural projects. Ms. Taylor has performed at Dance Theater Workshop, Lincoln Center Summer Dance Festival, New York City Center Fall for Dance Festival, and The American Dance Festival at Duke University. While overseas Ms. Taylor performed with the Redwing Blackbird Theater in Austria (Barber of Seville), and studied flamenco with Alicia Vega, Antonio Canales, Manuel Betanzos, Rosario “La Farruca” Montoya, and El Charo Cruz.
Ms. Taylor is grateful for the opportunity to serve the arts community in Tulsa. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, travel, Pilates and painting in her free time.
