Rami Won is a board-certified music therapist. She holds a Master’s Degree in Music (MM in Music, Music Therapy) from Colorado State University and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition from Chung-Ang University in Seoul, South Korea.
She worked as the clinical supervisor and teaching assistant at Sam Houston State University in Texas. In 2013-2014, she worked at Sunflower Center in South Korea, where she assisted women, children, and victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. In 2014-2017, she worked at Anseong City Children’s Rehabilitation and Education Center, also in South Korea, providing therapeutic music education for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Visual Impairment, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Selective Mutism.
Ms. Won’s several original choral works were published and included a CD of choral collections published by Chorus Center, South Korea. In addition to private lessons at the bART, she also teaches an undergraduate music therapy class at Oral Roberts University and plays piano at Tulsa Ballet Center for Dance Education, as well as for several local middle school choirs.
Ms. Won believes that every child is musical and that music should be learned with joyfulness and motivation. When she can, Ms. Won loves to travel, and is a coffee connoisseur!
