Senior Spotlight 2022: Jack Campbell

Name: Jack Campbell

Instrument: Cello

How long have you been involved in music?

I’ve been taking lessons at the bART for 11 years, but I’ve been involved in music since I was 5.

Why is music important to you?

Music has given me an emotional outlet where I am able to express myself musically which I love to do! Music is such a large part of my life and I don’t know what I would do without it.

Tell us about your time at The bART.

The bART has been a place where I can be around people who share the same passion and love for music I do.Years ago, I used to sit at the bART for hours every week doing homework, practicing, and hanging out with my friends.

Where will you be going from here?

I plan on taking a gap year next year, and the year after, I will be attending a 4-year university to study medicine with a minor in music and hopefully compete on a division 1 men’s gymnastics team.

A message from Jack:

I would like to make a special mention of my very first cello teacher, Mr. Kevin Jackson who sadly passed away this past winter. He instilled the gift of music inside of me and I will eternally be grateful for all that he did in my life.
