Coral Kestler

Voice

Coral Kestler is a musical theatre performer with a passion for empowering others to pursue what they love. She graduated from Oral Roberts University with her BFA in Musical Theatre in 2023. During her time there, she had the opportunity to perform in both straight plays and vocal roles such as Margaret Leavitt in Silent Sky, Cinderella in Into the Woods, and Ensemble roles in Secret Garden and The Sound of Music. Coral has also music directed Riverfield Country Day School’s production of Mean Girls and enjoys singing with the First Methodist Cathedral Choir. Additionally, she is excited to make her Texas debut as Nancy in Main Street Theatre’s production of Fancy Nancy the Musical in the summer of 2024.

In the year 2020, she started working at Clark Youth Theatre, where she taught students voice, acting, and improv. During her time there, she received trauma informed classroom strategies through the Opportunity Project to meet students where they’re at.

Coral began growing her musical roots in cello. Beginning at the age of four, she played cello for seven years, and attended The bART Center for Music’s Conservatory program for three years. This helped give her the foundational musical skills she needed in order to pursue singing later in her life. Although she took classes at a young age, she truly began to discover her love for musical theatre in highschool when she started doing choir and musicals. She was able to challenge herself to grow by attending different competitions including the International Thespian Festival where she received a Superior Rating in the Musical Theatre Category in the year 2019. This continued in her college years where she received a grant from the 2022 Crescendo Music Awards.

Coral cares deeply about helping every student, young and old, build and maintain a strong foundation in their vocal technique. Each and every voice is special, and working on maintaining a foundation is how that voice soars. In lessons students will learn how to implement successful practice habits that will allow the voice’s natural beauty to shine through.

Outside of theatre and music, Coral enjoys writing, art, and spending time with her friends and family (bonus if coffee and/or cats are involved)!
