Marquelle Brown

Flute, Music & Movement

Marquelle Brown graduated with a Masters of Music in Flute Performance and Pedagogy in 1999 from the University of Louisville and a Bachelors in Music Education from Brigham Young University in 1996. Marquelle loves teaching and performing. She is passionate about helping students develop a love for music as well as developing their talent. As she teaches students and early childhood music classes she enjoys seeing an increase in their self-confidence, self-discipline, and strength in their character. Many of her students have received scholarships for college, made All State and All Region Bands, played with the Youth Orchestras, and received superior ratings at Solo and Ensemble. She is active in her church performing solos, leading children’s music, and directing the choir.

Marquelle has performed with wonderful orchestras and chamber ensembles around the world. She soloed with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and was a member of the Piano Trio. She was a Mid-South Flute Festival finalist. She has accompanied the Mid-Ohio Valley Children’s Chorus and the Tulsa Children’s Chorus. Marquelle is currently teaching at the bART School of Music. She loves the outdoors, animals, cooking, learning about physical and mental health, and she loves her husband and her six wonderful children.
