Matt Magerkurth holds a BM in Composition from the University of Tulsa and an MM in Composition from the University of Arkansas. As a cellist, bassist, guitarist, and keyboard player, Matt frequently collaborates with many artists in the Tulsa music scene by arranging, performing, or recording. In his personal projects, he makes music both as a composer/producer and as a singer-songwriter, and released his first album, Amends, in 2021. As a crossover musician, Matt strives to give students an appreciation of broad styles of music, and supports exploration into any genre or style.

When he is not making music, Matt can be found baking, running, or hanging out with his cat, Benny.
