Robin Smith

Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass

Robin Hock Smith holds a MM in Education from the University of Tulsa and a MM in Performance from the (former) St. Louis Conservatory of Music. She obtained her BM in Performance from Oral Roberts University where she currently serves on the string faculty teaching violin, viola, string bass, and electric bass. She enjoys training future music educators in her string methods class. Her former students now hold music positions throughout the Midwest. She enjoys the many years that she has taught at the bART Center for Music.

As Principal Bass of both the Signature Symphony and Bartlesville Symphony, Robin has enjoyed performing with some of the finest artists of our day including Ray Charles, Dave Brubeck, Bernadette Peters, Kristin Chenoweth, and Sandi Patti. She has performed with the national Broadway tours of Chicago, Beauty and the Beast, The Titanic, Peter Pan, and Hello Dolly with Carol Channing.

Robin has toured with various ensembles in Russia, Austria, and Poland. Her work with orphans has also taken her to China and Africa. She is currently developing a music program with character development to serve orphans in these and other countries around the world
