Tatyana Lantos

A native of Odessa, Ukraine, Tatyana Lantos has dedicated her life to educating talented performing musicians. Ms. Lantos’s career as a classical pianist began very early when at the age of five, she was accepted to attend the prestigious Stolyarsky School of Music – School for Gifted Students, a specialized musical institution for elementary and secondary school aged musicians in Ukraine. At age seven, she gave her first solo recital, and then went on to perform in a number of local, regional national, and international competitions, including seasonal concerts at the Philharmonic Concert Hall in Odessa, Ukraine. Based on her own background and experiences, she makes every effort of her life’s calling to provide each student with the educational, professional, social, and emotional foundation necessary to embark on successful careers and productive lives as artists
Ms. Lantos graduated from the Odessa State Music Conservatory, Ukraine in 1995 with a Master’s Degree in Music, majoring in Piano Performance, Education, and Accompaniment. In 1998, she began a professional teaching career when the Tulsa Community College invited her to serve as an adjunct piano professor, where she taught individual classes for advanced-level students and specialized study topics and group piano classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. Ms. Lantos also taught music appreciation classes at TCC and was instrumental in the development of a custom curriculum combined with achievement goals, in addition to helping students prepare for solo recitals, jury finals, and theory writing tests.
As a teacher, Ms. Lantos’s method is a very unique and famous Russian piano education tactic. These best traditions are based upon her Russian music and piano education as well as the latest achievements in music pedagogy. Ms. Lantos firmly believes in a challenging and individualistic approach to learning, supported with a lot of patience, encouragement, and attention to make the experience enjoyable and rewarding. Her teaching philosophy and approach enables many of her students to develop their piano playing skills rapidly, with many of them becoming winners of various competitions and some becoming professional teachers and performers
In September 2005, Ms. Lantos joined the Barthelmes Conservatory (aka The bART Center for Music) where she teaches individual piano lessons, group piano classes, and mentors young musicians in achieving their dreams and goals. Ms. Lantos dedication and encouragement stems from decades of a precise understanding of classical music training and imparts that knowledge so that her students may attain the highest in artistic standards and become future leaders in their professions. She has over 17 years of advanced music and piano studies at leading Ukrainian music institutions, with well over 20 years of professional teaching experience in the Ukraine and U.S. She teaches all talent levels and age groups, and is a supportive and charming personality that offers talented piano students the best instruction available today. Her thriving career is evidenced by consistent positive reviews from students and colleagues, as well as her large and growing clientele.
